Happy Mother's Day!

Growing up I have so many fond memories of my mother.
As Daddy always says, mother always made it seem like "Disney World" at our house.
I can honestly say that our "Disney World" was a wonderful place to grow up.
There was always singing, laughter, dancing, and playing going on.
Looking back I can honestly say that both of my parents genuinely enjoyed Todd and me and made our childhood like Disney, where dreams come true...

My mother has always been a positive influence in my life.
Our relationship has evolved into a genuine friendship.
Growing up she was the nurturer, disciplinarian, and role-model that helped foster my independence.
She also taught me so much by being the example that I needed at each phase in my life.
Above all else, she showed me how to be a Christian mother to my children.
She taught me this by being a constant example through her walk with Christ.
Through her example and leadership, I learned how to become a strong, confident Christian woman.
Her love for me was and always has been unconditional.
She helped provide the foundation for the way that I mother my own children.

I love old pictures and decided to add a few of mother and me here.
I am so thankful that my parents owned a camera and that they made pictures of my childhood!

I was probably about 6 months old...
Mother got this rocker for my first Christmas.
I was 9 months old.
My first birthday...
This was Easter, right after my 1st birthday.
My second birthday...
Christmas, I was 3 3/4...
I was probably 3 or 4 in this picture...
This was in the house where mom and dad still live.
I was 5 or 6.
Valentine's Day
Christmas - I loved Snoopy, just like Rome.
Not only is she a wonderful mother, she is an even greater "GiGi" to all of her grandchildren.
She seems to get so much joy being with them.
I love watching her with our boys.
I can truly see how happy she is when she is with them.
I am thankful that she gets to spend time with them and just be "GiGi."
They love spending time with her!

Mother's Day 2010
I hope and pray that I can be the same positive influence and example for Rome and Nash.
I also hope that one day they will truly know the love that I have for them, just as I know the love that my mother has for me.
