Thankful Thursday

I am thankful for many things. Mostly, I am just thankful for the people that I have in my life. In addition to my husband and the boys, some of those people are my parents and my in-laws. I am thankful that our boys have two sets of grandparents that love them to pieces and actually enjoy spending time with them.

Since I haven't officially introduced them on this blog I thought this would be a good opportunity. We we just returned from my dad's side family reunion and we are getting ready to go to the beach with my in-laws. I know I will do posts of both of those trips so I thought an introduction was appropriate.

Without further ado,
here are four people that mean the world to me.

My Daddy - "Duck"
Rome gave him the name when he first started talking. As any grandparent knows he was thrilled that his grandson was calling him anything. He asked me why I thought Rome called him "Duck" and I told him I think it is because he "quacked" at him the first 4 months of his life and he always wears a hat. To a child if you look like a "duck" and you sound like a "duck" - then you must be a "Duck".

My mother - GiGi
My nephew, Will - who is the oldest grandchild, gave her this name. We have no idea why he chose it but all the other grand kids have followed suit and call her that.

Jason's dad - PaPa
Rome calls him PaPa but Nash is calling him "Pop-Pop" at the moment. He, like Duck, doesn't care what they call him as long as they do.

Jason's mom - MiMi
Last, but certainly not least, is our boys' MiMi. Our boys definitely get their curly hair from her.
