Rome pulled his top front tooth today all by himself! He was sooooo proud!
He is the cutest thing and talked with a slight lisp.
It is hard to believe that someone so cute and sweet could do something like this...
It is hard to believe that someone so cute and sweet could do something like this...
and this...
to the door of my car...
but he did.
He did this with the handle bar on his bike. He leaned it against the door and slowly walked it down the side of the car, with a bewildered look, as if he couldn't be quite sure if it was actually scratching it or just rubbing the pollen off of it - he had been told to stay away from the vehicles with his bike so, needless to say, I was furious!!
I was SO mad at him that I couldn't even talk to him or punish him at the moment.
A lesson needed to be taught in how to respect property that isn't yours. When Jason got home he handled the punishment.
So he was grounded for a week from this...
and this...
He came in and told me what his punishment was, that he understood what he did was wrong, and that he was going to have to miss Super Hero Saturday Cartoons.
He took his punishment like a champ and didn't ask one time to do either one - for fear of getting the worst spanking of his life - from his daddy. He was VERY apologetic and kept telling me over and over how sorry he was that he scratched my car.
This was the first destroying of property punishment that we have had to face as parents - we didn't just need a "quick" fix of a spanking or time-out. I know that it won't be the last but hopefully, he will think twice before he damages other people's things. We talk about consequences a lot and I think that he is beginning to understand what consequences really are.
