Jason needed to go to Virginia on business so Rome and I decided to go along to keep him company. We left early Wednesday morning and rode about 8 hours to Christiansburg, VA. Jason dropped us off at the Hotel and then headed to see his dealer. Rome had his own bed and TV. He chilled and read while I was getting our things situated.
Rome and I headed to the hot tub and then we went on a nature walk/scavenger hunt. It was a beautiful sunny day.
On Thursday Jason worked in the morning and then we headed to Gatlinburg.
Hotels are so much fun. Especially when the beds are close together and you can jump from one to the other.

While we were in Gatlinburg we went to Ripley's Aquarium.
Jason and Rome watching the sting rays.
The sharks were huge!
I held a horseshoe crab.
Diver Rome
Rome doing his best fish face.
He loved watching all the sea creatures!
The boy scout would never break the rules - he wouldn't even touch it because it said "emergency use only"
After the aquarium, we went to Ober Gatlinburg. The ride up on the tram was beautiful!
Rome and I rode the Alpine Slide. We were flying! We were going so fast that we actually caught the kid in front of us. We were packed in the slide like sardines.
This is Rome in the Alpine Slide at the bottom of the mountain. As you can tell, he pretty much filled it up on his own. They won't let your ride by yourself until you are seven.
Rome wanted to try ice skating so he and I went out on the ice. He actually did great! He didn't even fall until we were about half way around the rink.
There is nothing sweeter than a sleeping boy in Pumpkin PJs!
We had a great trip but missed Nash terribly. He was loving life because he got to have one-on-one time with all his grandparents.
